DT Special – Morten Schantz in Residency September 2026 – TAG 1<\/strong><\/p>\n

Morten Schantz ist ein international gefragter Pianist, S\u00e4nger, Komponist und Produzent aus D\u00e4nemark \/ Kopenhagen.
\nIm Doubletime war er bereits mehrfach mit der Duo-Formation RKDIA (Morten Schantz\/Anton Eger) sowie vor drei Jahren mit seinem fantastischen Trio.
\nBei der flie\u00dfenden, melodischen und gleichzeitig rhythmisch wie harmonisch spannenden Jazz-Musik von Morten Schantz entstehen sofort Bilder, teils gibt es Anleihen zur Film-Musik, teils zum Pop, vor Allem aber ist er im Jazz, Groove und Funk zu Hause.
\nIn seiner Residenz wird er in v\u00f6llig unterschiedlichen Formationen sine unglaubliche Bandbreite zeigen.<\/p>\n

\nUnd Morten Schantz wird am Klavier einmal mehr zeigen, dass er ein gro\u00dfer Geschichten-Erz\u00e4hler am Instrument ist und wenn es drauf ankommt mit seinem Instrument eine ganze Band ersetzt.<\/p>\n

\nDoubletime Jazz Residency 2026<\/em><\/strong>
\nThis concert marks the world premiere of a brand-new solo project by Danish pianist, keyboardist <\/em>and composer Morten Schantz.<\/em>
\nKnown internationally from projects such as JazzKamikaze, Morten Schantz Trio, Schantz Segment <\/em>and RKDIA, Schantz has spent decades moving between acoustic jazz, electronic music, progressive <\/em>grooves and cinematic sound worlds. In this solo setting, he opens a more spacious and atmospheric<\/em>
\nuniverse.<\/em>
\nAt the centre of the music is the grand piano, with electronics acting as a quiet partner: extending, <\/em>reflecting and orbiting the acoustic instrument like small satellites sent into space. Fragments of <\/em>melody, resonance and texture are released into the dark as distant signals.<\/em>
\nThe music unfolds as a journey into space and the unknown. Small musical units – fragments, <\/em>outposts, points of light – are set in motion and gradually gathered into a larger form. Like <\/em>constellations, the full shape becomes visible only from a distance.<\/em>
\nAt Doubletime Jazz, Morten Schantz invites the audience into an intimate acoustic experience <\/em>expanded by electronics – a voyage through inner and outer space, and a new chapter in the work of <\/em>one of Denmark’s most exploratory musical voices.<\/em><\/p>\n
